This tuning tool removes the speed limit of Shimano EP-8 motors – "MSO" stands for nothing more than "Max Speed Off"!
The Shimano STEPS EP-8 motor is the long-awaited successor to the popular E8000 motor. Compared to its predecessor, the EP-8 is not only smaller and lighter, it also has an enormous torque of 85 Nm - and thus over 20 percent more power!
Unfortunately, the enormous power of this drive is limited by the preset 25 km/h speed limit. But this is where the PearTune MSO chip tuning set comes into play. This is a tuning module that must be connected to the EP8 engine. Once this has been done, the speed limit can be removed at any time at the touch of a button, so that the motor actively supports even in significantly higher speed ranges. So you can finally enjoy unlimited riding fun without limits!
When tuning is active, the e-bike display shows the correct speed up to a speed of approx. 23 km/h, after which the displayed speed is "frozen". This means that about 23-25 km/h is always displayed, even if you drive much faster in reality.
Accordingly, the total kilometers are not displayed correctly.
